Making Faithful Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World . . . One Person at a Time

Policies and Procedures

Policies and Procedures:
Please adhire to the following Policies and Procedure for our Little Blessings Ministry.

Dropping Children Off:
To ensure the security of the children, sign-in each child at their classroom each morning.
Drop off your child no earlier than 8:55 a.m.  Teachers use the time before class to prepare materials for the day.

Picking Children Up:
Pick up your children no later than 2:05 p.m.  Each child needs to be signed out at the end of each day.  Note late pick up fee in Tuition and Fees section.
If an emergency arises and you know you will be late, notify Little Blessings as soon as possible.
If someone other than the child's parents will be picking up the child, we must know from the parent, the person's name in advance.  We will not release your child to an unknown person.
It is our policy to require identification from the person picking up your child.  It is your responsibility to keep Little Blessings informed of changes in persons authorized to pick up your children.

Enrollment Documents:
Little Blessings must have complete enrollment information on each child. Complete enrollment packet should include:
     ~ Registration form
     ~ Authorization form
     ~ Current Immunization Record

If your child develops a fever or definite signs of illness, he or she MUST be picked up.  We will not knowingly expose the whole group to illness.
If we cannot reach the parents, we will call the people on your Emergency List.  List names of people who are available during PDO hours, and advise us of any changes that need to be made to the list.
If your child will be absent for any reason, call the Parent's Day Out office at 817.232.4380 or the church office at 817.232.0390.

Behavior and Discipline Policy:
Little Blessings philosophy is based on positive reinforcement for good behavior and reminder of rules, redirection, and time-outs for behavior that is unacceptable.  Length of time out is appropriate for age of the child.
We will not allow a child to hurt another child physically.  We do know that some behaviors are developmental and we will try to correct them.  If a child does not respond to correction or physically harms another child, an incident report will be filed.

Termination of Enrollment:
Give at least 2 weeks written notice if you plan to withdraw your child from Little Blessings.
In certain circumstances, it may be necessary for Little Blessings Parent's Day Out to discontinue a child's attendance.  Reasons for termination of enrollment may include, but are not limited to:
~ abuse of other children, staff, or property.
~ continued violation of Little Blessings' policies.
     ~ disruptive or dangerous behavior.
~ the program's inability to meet the child's needs.
~ non-payment of tuition (immediate termination).
Every reasonable effort will be made to correct a problematic situation before a final decision to terminate enrollment is made.
Each child need to bring a lunch with a drink each day he/she attends.  Send food as you would like the child to eat it (washed, cut up, peeled, heated, etc).  It greatly helps your child's teacher who has her hands full assisting the whole class with their lunches.
~ Do not send red or purple juices.  They stain too easily.
~ Send change of clothes daily for your child. Accidents, spills, and dirt happen.
~ Label all items with your child's name.
~ Nursery and Toddler classes need to bring their drink in a spill proof cup.
~ During the term, we will have special parties or events.  We may have sign-up sheets asking parents to supply various items.  If you have more than one child at Little Blessings, we ask that you sign up for each child.
